What if taking care of your body is a form of worship? Mark 12:30 says that “you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.” As we learn to take better care of our bodies, we can better love the Lord our God. We will spend the weekend discovering how God wants more for our bodies, our minds and our connection to Him by discussing simple disciplines that can help us take small steps in a healthier direction.
Lindsay Asmus is a Christ-follower, daughter, sister, friend, wife, and mom of three children. She discovered a passion for homeschooling her children which has blossomed into a love of teaching. A member of New Heights Church, she teaches children’s Sunday School as well as Vacation Bible School. She also is a tutor for her homeschool co-op, Classical Conversations, and was recently a speaker for the local Homeschool Conference. Accepting Christ at a young age, she has spent her life growing in her love for the Lord and for His Word. After earning her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and Spanish, she worked in the fitness and healthcare industries until she had started having children and became a stay-at-home mom. Lindsay combines her passion for health and her love for the Lord to bring a fresh perspective on worshipping the Lord with our full bodies.
