Angie Betancourt
Campus Minister
Angie is the Columbia Basin College Ministry Leader. She is actively serving on campus as the Kairos Christian Club president and regularly evangelizing to the student body. Through the club, she has reached many students with the help of other strong believers. She has seen much fruit from this endeavor and hopes to continue reaching the lost.
Michael Brownell
Camp Touchet Steward
Michael has served as the Camp Touchet Manager/Caretaker since 2024. Before beginning his role with the CBBA, he spent 20 years in the Air Force, where he served as an aerospace ground equipment mechanic and as a facilities manager. Following his years in the Air Force, he pastored three churches. He has a wide range of experience and skills that enable him to effectively maintain camp property. He has a heart for ministry and loves to see the blessing Camp Touchet is to those who use the camp.
Macy Carpenter
Administrative Assistant
Macy grew up in the Tri-Cities area along with her six siblings. She recently moved back home to Washington state after graduating from Appalachian Bible College with a BA in Bible/theology and biblical counseling. She is passionate about ministry and has been blessed with the opportunity to serve as the administrative assistant at the CBBA.
Sam Crowder
Campus Minister
Sam has served as Campus Minister since February 2023 and currently leads the college ministry’s efforts towards the WSU-TC campus. He has a passion for students and loves engaging in long conversations about what they believe and why.
Outside of ministry, Sam works as a window washer and is currently getting his bachelor’s in Management Information Systems with the goal of starting seminary soon after.
Steve McLain
Pastor/Church Encourager
Steve joined the Columbia Basin Baptist Association in 2025.
Serving at Crossview Community Church, he brings a warm heart for pastors and churches
and a steady desire to walk alongside those in ministry. With years of experience in discipleship and encouragement, Steve loves helping church leaders rejoice in Christ and
rest in the power of the gospel for the glory of God.
Steve and his wife Vickie have made the Tri-Cities their home, where they enjoy serving the local church and spending time with family and friends.
